Effective November 6, 2026

Alchorithm is a small software consultancy, operated by Kevin Grazioplene in New York, USA ("Alchorithm", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through alchorithm.com, why, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it short and plain.

The short version

  • We only collect what you give us when you contact us or describe a project, plus the basic technical data every website receives.
  • Our project assistant, Newton, is powered by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic. Anthropic processes your messages only to generate Newton's replies and may not use them to train its AI models.
  • We don't sell your information, and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers.
  • You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information at any time.

Information we collect

When you start a project request with Newton

You give us your name, email address, and company, and agree to be contacted. We email you a one-time code to confirm the address is yours before the chat starts. You then answer Newton's questions about the problem you're trying to solve. If you confirm the summary Newton shows you, your contact details, the summary, and the full conversation are emailed to our team.

We keep a record of every conversation with Newton, including ones that end before a request is confirmed (for example if the chat times out or you leave the waiting line). The record includes your contact details, your messages and Newton's replies, how long you waited, and how the conversation ended. Our team receives a daily email summarizing these conversations so we can follow up and improve how Newton works.

When you ask Newton general questions

To ask Newton about Alchorithm, you give your name, email address, and company, and confirm your email with a one-time code, just as for a project request. We keep a record of your questions and Newton's answers, and count them to apply daily limits. If you then start a project request, they're linked to it, so Newton doesn't ask you again for what you already told it and our team sees the full picture.

When you use the contact form

We receive your name, email address, company, and message by email.

Technical information

Like any website, our servers receive your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We use this to deliver the site, prevent abuse (for example, limiting how often one address can start chats, and how many requests one email address can make each week), and keep the service secure.

Some AI assistants can browse websites on a person's behalf (for example, ChatGPT agent). When your browser identifies itself as one of these, we note it with your request so our team knows how it was submitted. This doesn't affect whether we can help you.

How we use your information

  • To understand your request, decide whether it's work we can take on, and reply to you, including following up on requests you didn't finish.
  • To follow up, prepare proposals and quotes, and deliver work if we work together.
  • To improve our services, including how Newton asks questions and how we scope projects.
  • To protect the site from spam, bots, and abuse.

We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't sell it or share it for others' marketing.

Newton, our AI assistant

Newton is powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. When you chat with Newton, your messages and the conversation so far are sent to Anthropic so it can generate Newton's replies. Anthropic processes them on our behalf under its commercial terms: it may not use them to train its AI models, and it keeps them only for a limited time to provide and secure its service.

Newton only collects information about your project; it does not give quotes or make decisions about you. A person on our team reviews every request before anything happens. Newton can make mistakes, which is why it asks you to confirm its summary before sending it to us.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf:

  • Anthropic provides Claude, the AI model behind Newton, and processes your chat messages to generate its replies.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and stores our record of Newton conversations, protects the site from abuse, and provides the "verify you are human" check (Turnstile).
  • Resend delivers the emails sent from our contact form, the verification codes we email you, confirmed project requests, and our daily conversation summary.
  • Our email provider stores the messages we receive.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. If Alchorithm's business is reorganized (for example, into a company), your information would move with it under this policy.

Cookies and browser storage

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. The site stores a few small items in your browser: that you've dismissed the cookie notice, and your current chat with Newton so it survives a page refresh (this is cleared when you close the tab). Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site and run the human verification check.

How long we keep information

We keep project requests, conversations with Newton, and messages for as long as they're useful to our business, for example to follow up, revisit past inquiries, and improve how we work. You can ask us to delete yours at any time and we will, unless we need to keep something to meet a legal obligation. Technical logs are kept for a short time only.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also tell us to stop contacting you. Email newton@alchorithm.com and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we'll honor them.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls on the systems that run Newton, and human verification and rate limits to block abuse. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't share passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal information in a project request.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn't directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date above. For significant changes affecting information we already hold, we'll let you know.
